The songs on this website are a combination of country, folk, rockabilly, blues, rock and roll, and what has been described as “Americana.” I’ve always considered myself to be a folk musician. One of my all time favorite musical influences, Louis Armstrong once said, “All music is folk music. I never heard a horse sing a song.”
In 2015 I collaborated with my old blues friend and producer, Michael Shawn Gonzales. The result of that alliance was the release of the first of the Sidewalk Frank recordings, the sonic album titled, Here And Now. Here And Now reflects the darker side of my melodic leanings with tracks such as: Never Been So Blue, Do I Have A Soul, The Old Oak Tree and the title song, Here And Now.
In 2017 I joined forces with another long time acquaintance, Dave Zuckerman, to produce my latest recordings. Together Dave and myself assembled some of our old rock star friends and some new acquaintances to produce the album, No Loitering. These tracks are more uptempo cuts such as: the road-house country stomper Whiskey And Weed, the barn-burner, Running In Overdrive, the rockabilly, Highway King, written by Michael Cunningham, and the novelty tune, Preemptive Breakup Blues. But if you’re looking for more of the darker side of my alter ego, Sidewalk Frank, you’ll find it on songs like: Inside My Head, the whimsical/cynical, Have A Nice Day and the left at the alter heartbreaker, West Texas Lament.
I’d like to thank all the talented: musicians, song contributors, technicians, friends, family and people who helped make these recordings a reality. I could not have done this without all of your incredible talent and support. We are forever a part of each other because of our work together.
